Here’s a free utility bookmarket for your Internet Explorer, FireFox or Safari bookmarks toolbar: when you’re browsing through movies at BlockBuster Online, just click on the bookmarklet to locate the movie at the Internet Movie Database website (IMDB.com). To install it, drag the link below labeled IMDB:BB up to your browser’s bookmarks toolbar.

Drag this—> IMDB:BB

 

After you’ve done that, visit BlockBuster Online DVD Rental and on pages where you’re viewing the details for a single movie, just click the bookmarklet in your toolbar and a new window will open up to the movie info at IMDB.com.

NetFlix IMDB Movie Search Bookmarklet

I’ve noticed on FireFox running on Mac OS X the new window opens behind the front window. I’ve attempted to code around this but no luck yet.

Note: this is free software, and not officially supported. If it doesn’t work as expected, leave a comment and if I can figure out the problem I will. I’ve only tested it on Safari and FireFox.
